The engine management system is an electronic system responsible for monitoring and controlling the various engine-related functions. Among other things, it regulates ignition, fuel injection, air delivery, valve timing and other parameters to ensure optimum engine performance, efficiency and emission levels.
Modern motorbike engine management systems often use an electronic control unit (ECU) connected to sensors and actuators in the engine. The ECU collects real-time data such as engine speed, air temperature, throttle position and lambda values and adjusts engine parameters accordingly to achieve optimal performance and tuning.
