Successful placings despite adverse weather conditions

At the beginning of July, the Fun Racing Team Calw met up at the Cathedral of Speed in Assen.
Josef, Andi, Conny, Flo, Rolf, as well as Walter and Beate as spectators. As every year in Assen, the weather was again very mixed. Wind, rain and sometimes even sunshine alternated heavily. Every racer knows how annoying it is to quickly change from slicks to rain tyres, or vice versa, 30 minutes before the start of your turn. This was also the case in Assen.
Despite everything, the team members achieved the following placings: Andi achieved a respectable 6th place in the Top Twins in the first race and 11th place in the SP90 with the 996 and 12th place in the second race. Josef rode his RS660 to 10th place and Flo the SV650 to 11th place. In the second race Andi confirmed his 6th place in the Top Twin class, Josef achieved 12th place and Flo 14th place. Rolf had a very good start in the first race in the 400cc class.
On the second lap, the gear jumped out in the Strouven at full lean. Line gone, momentum gone and all the places gained at the start were lost. Now in last place, the race to catch up began. In the end, he finished the race in 6th place with a 4/100 gap to 5th place and a 2/10 gap to 4th place. For the second race in the afternoon, the rain radar promised 100% rain showers with strong winds. As he had an important appointment on Monday morning, Rolf decided against the second race. The rain radar turned out to be right.
