1983
Business foundation
Hans-Dieter Stein founded his motorbike repair workshop in a barn near Denstorf. With a passion for motorbikes and skilled craftsmanship, he built the business from the ground up. What started small quickly developed into a sought-after contact point for motorbike enthusiasts.
1984
Foundation GbR
Hans-Dieter Stein and Torsten Dinse founded Stein-Dinse GbR and rented a shop in Wolfenbüttel. With growing success, we later moved to Braunschweig - to a former beer wholesaler that offered more space for the steadily growing range and the increasing customer demand.
1985
Establishment of the limited company
Stein-Dinse GbR was converted by Dieter Stein into Stein-Dinse GmbH. Torsten Dinse withdrew from the company due to a lack of time. Dieter Stein continued to run the company alone and expanded it into a major player in the motorcycle parts trade.
1988
Heading
We made our range available to a wider public for the first time with the publication of our first catalogue. We also entered the world of sponsorship and supported racing series such as the Battle of Twins for several years. This strengthened our connection to the motorsport scene and the drivers.
1990/91
First online shop
The Stein-Dinse online shop was one of the first of its kind on the market, offering customers a completely new shopping experience. With a user-friendly platform and an extensive range of products, we embraced the digital future early on and made our products available 24/7.
1997/98
First importer status
We became the official importer for Laverda, Magni and VEE TWO, specialising in Ducati bevel engines. This has allowed us to expand our range with exclusive brands and rare parts, offering our customers even more choice and top-quality products for their motorcycle projects.
2000
Offizieller Brembo-Importeur
We became an official importer of Brembo and expanded our range to include high-quality brake components. This enabled us to offer our customers first-class braking solutions and further consolidate our position as a leading supplier of motorcycle parts.
2001
Restart after fire
After our company headquarters at ‘Im alten Dorfe’ burnt down, we moved into a former bakery. There we reorganised our business: we stopped selling motorcycles and running the workshop and from then on concentrated exclusively on the spare parts business.
2005
Dellorto importer & relocation
We became the official importer of Dellorto and expanded our range to include high-quality carburettor technology. At the same time, we relocated to Wipshausen in the district of Peine, where we created optimal conditions for further growth and the expansion of our spare parts business.
2010
Official Unibat importer
We have become the official importer and wholesaler of Unibat batteries. This means that we have expanded our range to include high-performance and reliable motorcycle batteries, offering our customers even more choice and quality in the field of automotive technology.
2013/14
New building & occupation in Schwülper
With our new location in the industrial park at Waller See in Schwülper, we have created optimal conditions for further growth. The modern company headquarters near Braunschweig offers more storage capacity, efficient logistics and an improved shopping experience for our customers.
2014/15
Stein-Dinse retail store
The grand opening of our shop marks an exciting milestone: here, motorbike fans can not only pick up all our high-quality motorbike parts directly, but also view and try on our latest selection of clothing and accessories in a relaxed atmosphere.
2016/17
Expansion of the site
By expanding our warehouse space by 3,000 m² and our office space by 600 m², we have created more room for our constantly growing range and a more efficient workflow. This has allowed us to optimise our logistics and offer our customers an even better service.
2020
Stein-Dinse in transition
We published the last printed Stein-Dinse general catalogue in the new corporate design. This has given us a modern, unified brand presence and completed the transition to a more extensive digital product presentation.
2022
More focus on racing
We have expanded our sponsorship at the race tracks and cooperated with various racing partners. In doing so, we support drivers and motorsport fans, promote racing and strengthen our presence in the scene.
2023
New online shop
Our new, modern Stein-Dinse online shop is now online! With improved user guidance, optimised search function and a fresh design, we offer our customers an even more convenient shopping experience for motorcycle parts and accessories.
2024
Official Ferodo importer
We are now also an ‘official importer’ for the renowned brand Ferodo. The first-class brake pads and brake systems perfectly complement our range and offer even more choice for maximum performance and safety on both the road and the racetrack.
2025
Official Vespa importer
We have become the official importer of original Vespa spare parts and accessories. This means that we are expanding our range to include high-quality products for Vespa enthusiasts and offering our customers first-class spare parts directly from the manufacturer.

What does the future hold for our customers?
The motorcycle market has always been subject to constant change. New innovations find their way from the racing scene into mass production. Not only higher, faster, further, but also new demands in terms of riding fun, safety and the environment ensure that new motorcycle models are constantly being developed. Our hearts beat for all Italian motorcycles - whether classic, vintage, modern or upcoming models.
As long as Italian blood flows in the lines, every motorcycle fascinates us. Especially with the older motorcycles, the procurement of spare parts is becoming increasingly difficult. That is why we decided early on to organise replacements for spare parts that have long since ceased to be available. Of course, we will also do this for current models - after all, they are the classics of tomorrow.
We are always up to date with the latest technology. Our first online shop went online in 1990 – long before online shopping became a mass phenomenon.
From today's online store to the telephone and the communication tools of the future, we will always offer many ways to order from us. We are always happy to help with tips and advice.
