If you notice a drop in performance of the motorbike engine, it may be worthwhile to check the exhaust gaskets. If the exhaust is not completely tight, it is often due to damaged gaskets.
How do you check? You can quickly recognise leaks by the black colouring of the relevant areas. If you want to be on the safe side, you can also simply hold your hand a few centimetres in front of the gaskets while the engine is running. You will immediately feel the heat escaping, but be careful: this is hot air! So don't hold your hand too close.
If you feel a leak, you should always replace the seal with a new one.
