Magnum Series

The Magnum series exhausts are derived from racing experience. The term Magnum is derived from MAGNESIUM and highlights the special features provided by the use of die-cast magnesium for the end caps. This solution combines the advantages of light weight with high durability. Properties of a highly valued material, as magnesium is. 

The pad is characterised by a logo design embossed by QD and is manufactured using a 50 tonne die-casting process. The result is a high molecular density, which guarantees excellent mechanical properties with restricted sections and consequently a strong weight reduction. The rear of the Magnum series is also protected by a ceramic-based coating that protects the exhaust from corrosion, oils, petrol as well as strong hydrocarbon acid.

In addition, the coating is temperature resistant up to 1400° C. The Magnum Series clamps are designed to ensure maximum performance and sound levels. The system used inside has a perforated cylinder with a hole diameter of 5 mm to 8 mm. The layering of the sound absorbing material is designed to give the exhaust a sound characterised by low frequencies below 800 Hz. At the same decibel level, the sound of the QD Magnum series is deep. The best you can ask for to give your bike a "voice" with strong character. 

The QD Magnum series silencers are equipped with the GAS EXTRACTOR system. This system favours the flow of exhaust gases and increases the exhaust extraction of the system. The GAS-EXTRACTOR creates a "pulsation zone" that absorbs the pressure waves generated by the engine, lowering the decibel level. The output of the GAS-EXTRACTOR is pushed into the opening of the silencer with a plunge cut. For this reason, an asymmetric wave is created that pushes against the lower lip of the muffler, further lowering the noise level.
